NEWS: Dan grading result

Kiryoku is proud to announce that club instructor Jessica Morrow, successfully completing her 2^nd Dan grading at Sensei Suzuki's Winter course in London. Everyone at the club offers their congratulations - well done Jess!

Sensei bell would also like to remind students to train hard for the imminent Kyu grading session in March.

NEWS: Successful Kyu Gradings

Over the last few weeks, our youngest and newest students have went through individual grading sessions with Sensei Bell. Congratulations to everyone who has attained their next belt:

EVENT: Winter training course & DAN Grading

Master Tatsuo Suzuki has announced the first training course of 2010. It will take place in London at the end of February. Further details (including the registration form) can be found on the official WIKF website.

UPDATE: Both Kiryoku instructors will be attending this training course, and so there will be no club training session on Saturday 27^th or Sunday 28^th.

EVENT: North Vs South open competition

Kiryoku have been invited to attend the 19^th Annual North Vs South Open competition in early February. This event covers kata, kumite and team kumite for all age ranges and is being held in Belfast City centre. All events will be conducted under offical WKF rules.

Any students wishing to compete, should inform Sensei Bell at the next training session. Pls note that all club registrations are required for 15^th January.

NEWS: Holiday training schedule

Sensei Bell reminds all students that the Robinson Centre is closed on Saturday 26^th and Sunday 27^th of December and so there'll be no regular club training on both dates. Classes will resume as normal on Saturday 2^nd of January.

NEWS: WIKF 2009 All-Ireland championships

Well done to the organisers and all the competitors for a successful and enjoyable event on Sunday. Kiryoku students took part in both Kumite and Kata events and performed very well. Congratulations to all the members who took part and everyone at Kiryoku is very proud of the medals won:

NEWS: Newtownards grading results

Thanks to Sensei Bobby Hamilton for organising another successful training session in Newtownards. The course focused on traditional methods and covered a lot of Wado basics suitable for all grades. Congratulations to all karate-ka who successfully graded in what was a very tough session, especially the following Kiryoku students:

Donna Stinson - 7th Kyu
Ethan Montgomery - 7th Kyu

Sensei Bell also reminded all students that regular training takes place as normal tomorrow at the Robinson Centre.

NEWS: Changes to training classes

Sensei Bell reminds all students that next week's Saturday class has been cancelled and all students have been asked to attend the one-day training event in Newtownards. It was also announced that there will be no Saturday club training the following week - 28th November as Sensei Bell will be away. All students are reminded that Sunday's class will take place as normal on both weekends.
